How to treat ich (white spot disease) naturally
Ich appears as white grains on fins and body.
Turn temperature up to 82–84°F gradually—heat speeds the parasite’s lifecycle.
Add aquarium salt (1 tbsp per 5 gallons) if tolerated.
Use ich medication if needed. (e.g., Seachem ParaGuard or Ich-X) if needed—read instructions carefully.
Treat for a full 7–10 days or until 3 days after all symptoms disappear.
Increase oxygen during treatment.
Keep lights low and minimize stress.
